Under the initiative of sculptor Vladas Vidžiūnas a sculpture garden was created in Vilnius cherished until the present. Gathered for more than four decades a collection of contemporary Lithuanian art has been displayed in the Sculpture garden and Vladas Vildžiūnas gallery next to it. The garden-museum is home to more than 50 sculptures art made of granite, iron, stainless steel and other material. In addition, pieces of art created by the classical sculptors and the artists of the new generation are displayed against the museum background which is perfect harmony with the landscape characteristic of Vilnius vicinities. The group of classical sculptors includes V. Vildžiūnas, T.K. Valaitis, V. Urbanavičius, M. Navakas, P. Mazūras, K. Jaroševaitė. Art and nature, the creative process and the finished display space are in tune with each other in this unique place.
