Transport

Vilnius is becoming an ever more modern city of Central and Eastern Europe, therefore modern decisions are being taken and it is sought to make use of the possibilities of latest technologies in life of the city.
Transport is the sphere in which significant changes are expected to be made.

Car Rental

If upon your arrival in Vilnius you want to rent a car, you can do it in the centre of the city, at the airport or at the station where car rental companies have their car rental offices.

Parking in the City

A car can be left in the streets of Vilnius. Parking is paid. You can pay at the nearest parking meter. The size of the parking charge depends on what zone of the city you parked your car in.

Public Transport

Vilnius trolley buses and buses start running at 4 in the morning and stop at midnight. There is available E-Ticket (Electronic ticket). For bus timetables visit www.vilniustransport.lt.

Taxi

It is cheaper and safer to call a taxi by telephone. A receptionist at every hotel will do that for you. The taxi fare is from 1.50 Litas to 3 Litas per kilometre in the city.
