The Railway Museum has two exhibition halls, which tell the story of the railways in Lithuania. In the first hall visitors become acquainted with the history of the railways in Lithuania from the middle of the 19th to the 1918 through authentic photographs depicting construction of the first railway line of Lithuania, tools used by railway workers at the beginning of the 20th century, screw coupling, an old wing of the warning signal, models and passenger carriage fittings, and even specimens of rails and railway points. The second hall tells the story of the development of the railways in Lithuania between the wars, in Soviet times and nowadays. The Museum also sell souvenirs, postcards, books related to the history and symbols of the railways.
